Food just like home. It reminded me of the big family parties we used to have back in Jordan. Every now and then one of my uncles or aunties would envite all the siblings, nieces and nephews. Around 30 people big and old in one place, absolute chaos ???? a beautiful chaos.
We ordered Mansaf and kidreh both were good and pretty good portion.
The restaurant it self was simple nothing fancy. They had Arabic classical music on the background which added that authenticity touch.
Overall, I recommend people trying out this place. Its worth it.
???????? PALESTINE (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Make sure to look over the daily specials list, which has seven very different vibrant options depending on the day you come in. Some of these you are likely not to recognize from other Levantine menus in Southern California, dishes that are usually cooked for special occasions in Palestine rather than found in restaurants. What a blessing!
First time customer here. To my pleasant surprise, this place has 2-3 daily specials which are home cooked meals type of entrees. A rarity in Mideastern restaurants in Southern California. Options today included okra and Qudra meat and rice that looked like Mansaf, which is their speciality as mentioned in an LA Times article / review. I picked shaikh el muhshi, Whig is stuffed baby zucchini with ground meat in cooked yogurt sauce. It came with pita bread, pickles and rice. It really tasted like home cooked. Came on a serving tray piping hot.
The lady manager is very hospitable and courteous. A smalll cordial chitchat then I had to head out but happily. Good to know there is real home style entrees daily. More INTRIGUING than usual menu of other restaurants that are found. If you like Mideastern foods and cuisine, add this place to the short list.
The atmosphere isn’t bad, but I could not make a distinction between is this a casual eatery or family oriented. It was mostly men who are on business in little Arabia district.
Fantastic Palestinian restaurant serving dishes which casual diners may not have had before. We went on a weeknight and there were plenty of open tables. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and free parking is available nearby. Our favorite dishes were the mshakhan (half chicken dish served over a flatbread), and the sheikh el mahshi (fried squash stuffed with pine nuts, onion, and ground beef cooked in yogurt).
The best place ever I ate Mediterranean food Em Shady the best thank you for made the food as we request ????... we recommended for all our friends ???? thank you
This place was a lucky lookup when I was in the area with my mom. It was her birthday and being originally from Palestine and being born there we had to stop. The mansaff was awesome, meat falling of the bone. Reminded me of being a kid in Jordan, yes that good. The hummus was great as well, heavy on garlic. The kosa was also awesome. The owner is sweet and super accommodating and happy to give recommendations if you haven't had Palestinian food before. Will be back when I'm back in Anaheim.
It's all about food! My family and I enjoyed a delightful iftar at Al Baraka, where the food was delightful. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for serving such delicious dishes. The highlight of our experience was when the chef/cook personally visited each table, inquiring about the quality of the food. When it comes to recommending a dish, they're all good. Her warm hospitality and the genuine smile she wore, despite the long hours of cooking, left a lasting impression on us. We will undoubtedly come back. ????️????
The food is absolutely amazing, there was not a single dish that was not incredibly delicious- everything was perfect. It tastes homemade, the quality of the ingredients is good, the staff was very nice and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend the Iftar buffet for Ramadan. It will not disappoint; good variety, excellent taste of the food- worth the hour long drive for us!
