I called and got an appointment for 10:00. I sent
a picture to her and she said 160.00. I arrived 15 minutes early and she was with a client so someone else did my hair. She was very nice but it felt like she was ripping my scalp off my skull. She said my hair was very short and she had to grip it. Before she was done she asked me to pay her she said it's 180.00 because I had to put more braids than you wanted because your hair is short so I said ok. The style came out nice but they use the cheapest hair they can find. My braids are so stiff and uncomfortable. I hate stiff braids!! I tried steaming them I rebraided them and dipped them in hot water. Since I paid my money I will try to bear them for right now. Hopefully they will last a couple weeks. This is
my first and last braid experience.
The Service is horrible here! I was treated as if I was an animal! Never again this treatment of people with sensitive scalps will STOP!!!!!!
The manager who books the appointments watched a Braider named MEME I’m sure it’s not her real name tortured me in her seat! I explained to the lady that I was tender headed and could she not braid my hair really tight. The more I asked the tighter she braided! At one point I stood up and asked the wiener could she ask her to take two of the braids down. Then MeMe went on to grab the scissors and cut my hair I have long hair passed the shoulders so instantly I thought she’d cut my hair along with the weave. It was the. As she was yelling” I did not cut your hair!” I was instantly afraid so I touched her hand and said please don’t be mad, I’m tender headed this is why ai don’t come to the shops. Meme began to smile and seemingly complied and for a short time was no longer aggressive and hard on my head. Then I asked her to place the color hair in a different spot and she began to abuse me my head again I cried and begged her please do not braid my hair that tight! The two people in the shop one was a guy was laughing and the lady wiring to het her hair done did not want to be involved! Do NOT GO TO THIS SHOP !!!!! I had to get someone to take the tight braids down and then rebraid my hair which cost me all together I paid $185.00 it was an UPDOO . I will escalate this complaint I have requested a partial refund for me pain and ultimate disregard !
I was crying begging her not to braid my hair real tight! Wow this how we treating each other where was your humanity MEME!!! I will jot rest until I get half of my money Back if not all of it!!!’This place is horrible! I also could not sleep the braids were so tight they were pulling my skin my skin was bumping up I had to take some down I did not go to sleep until 5:00 from the pain literally!!!!! So wrong…
I paid Anita $120 plus a $20 tip to crotchet a loose GoGo curl pattern. I sent her pictures and video of the hair with the description of the type of hair in advance. She did not respond to that text so I called her the next day to confirm that the hair would be enough. She stated that the 6 packs of hair would not be enough and that I should have at least 12. So I ordered 8 more packs of hair (the 6 I had was actually more than enough).
When I arrived at the shop she had her two children there that she yelled at the entire time but I really didn't mind that. I'm a mom myself and I understand that we do what we have to do including bringing them to work with us if we can and need to. Once she took the hair out of the pack and put in her first loop, she stated that the knots might not work and that she did not know that the hair was loose. She told me that for it to stay secure that it would need glue and that the glue might get on my real hair and be hard to take out. I told her to just knot it because I know that the knots will can stay secure enough without too much worry because I've had loose had crocheted before. She put in her knot and said that it would stay. I said "Great!" and informed her that I was going on vacation so I needed it to stay while in water. She proceeded to tie her loops. I was not facing a mirror at all during this process so I could not see what she would doing but I trusted her expertise. At the end, she finally turned me around in her chair and I saw the front of the hair only. The hair was pretty. I loved the pattern and length. I tipped her and went home. When I got home to style it, a loop came right out. I then noticed that all she did was try to tie the hair like the beginning of tying of a shoe string and the hair was getting tangled as a result. My husband and I spent the next day untying her strands and relooping them securely. I informed her once one section was redone of what I was doing, expecting her to offer some sort of rectification
She did not. She did not offer to redo the rest of the hair securely for me (I even sent her a tutorial of how it can be done because she once again told me that the only way it would stay is with glue), she did not offer any money back (not even the $20 tip that I gave her), she did not offer a discount on the next service, she did not even offer an apology. I had to untie and securely reloop each piece that she put in myself. Also by day two, the underling braids were loose. Complete waste of money. I had planned to keep the style for at least 4 weeks but I could barely keep it in 6 days. I also avoided submerging my head in any body of water the entire vacation. ????????
Anita has been doing my braids for a few years now. She always make sure I get exactly what I ask for. She's quick and efficient. She always ask if I want my braids tight or not so tight. I love the outcome every time. Her salon is very cozy and comfortable as well. 5 star establishment. Thank you Anita
