Great small town diner, really delicious food. Also really friendly staff and patrons, what more do you need?
Stopped here as we where driving through and didn't realize it was Mexican night. Turned out to be a good choice. Everyone in the party really enjoyed what they had. Chip and salsa seemed to be freshly made and the main dishes are huge. Could have split one with my wife and been very happy. Service was good and everyone was friendly. All and all I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the neighborhood.
GREAT local spot. It was mid-afternoon on a friday and we had the whole place to ourselves. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Quaint little place out in the middle of nowhere.
I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger with an upgraded side of cheese curds instead of fries. so yummy. :)
I go for breakfast usually, and it never fails to please. Had a breakfast casserole this time, and it was outstanding. Akron Joe's is just a nice, small town diner with some added flair. They wont disappoint.
Stopped by the cafe on the way down to omaha (had eaten their catering at a grad party). This place will be a hit with the whole family as it is a typical cafe menu plus Mexican. I had the Green Chili burrito, which had delicious chunks of slow cooked pork mixed and topped with an awesome Verde sauce. The refried beans were very flavorful. Definitely worth taking the scenic route off the interstate to stop by this place.
Walked in a few months ago for a job. Place was very clean, friendly people working there, kind of a high of my day right away in the morning, 1 of the only 3 or 4 places I ever fill the vehicle up with gas. Might have to try for a job again.
The food tasted alright i guess it seems as though for a sitdown resturant and now the only one in akron you would kind of expect a little bit better quality of food but it honestly tasted worse than burger king does (and i hate burger king) the ingredients and maybe its just me tasted cheap
Great way to see the Loesse hills of north west Iowa and find the best restaurants, there signature breakfast and delicious burgers. best catering in Siouxland has to offer from breakfast to dinner on, spot on flavor and always hot!
