Stopped for some bakery items and flowers. How can anyone go wrong shopping at this place. Beautiful inside. Customer service is excellent. Displays look fabulous. Prices are good. Thanks.
Zero stars. One star is too many. I stopped by for the first time about 2 months ago at the little outdoor patio lunch spot because the smoky aroma in the air smelled so good after visiting another business nearby. I ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. I wanted to order a soft drink or water with my meal, but they have non available outside on the patio... why? I guess you have to go inside the store for a drink and wait in two lines to purchase a lunch. Seems odd to me. The BBQ sandwich was about $8 if I remember correctly, and it was horrible. Dry!!! It was served on a typical burger bun, dry meat ... very dry meat, a side packet of lettuce and tomato, and a small side of BBQ sauce... a very small side of sauce, maybe 1-2 ounces? This sandwich needed 6-8 ounces. Never again. What a waste of money.
Stopped in on Wednesday night to grab a few steaks. We bought two Waygu Ribeyes which were amazing.
Where the issue was is with the Prime Filet. My wife cut into and it just mushed up, almost as if it was put together with the “meat glue”.
You can see from the photo that this isn’t a normal filet. The picture is just from pressing it with a fork. For the $35/lb? that we paid, we certainly expected more from Aj’s.
This place has all the European vibes! Ran into the cafe for a quick coffee, came out with a few goodies. Their deli and cafe food is so good! Ordered a large iced coffee and it was 32 oz!!! Very, very good coffee. The products in the store are definitely on the pricier side but seem quality. Definitely coming back to the cafe.
This is a restaurant/store that has a walk-up counter to order food such as pizza. salad (self-serve), vegetables, desserts, and pastries. The food is good and fairly priced and it is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking.
Bad service can ruin an experience and that is the reason for the poor rating. Some of the orders require service from an employee, so a numbering system is in place to efficiently serve the patrons. My wife received a number 93 and was patiently, and intently waiting to be served. The man calling the numbers served #92 and must have lost his concentration and the next number he called was #96. My wife informed him that he skipped over her number and several more, but he continued serving #96. After that he turned to the waiting folks and exclaimed, "Ok who was not paying attention earlier", which was beyond rude, when in fact he was the one that made the mistake. This occurred at 11:35 am on 4/21.

Overpriced sushi was done sloppy. Cutting board debris was on my salmon. Sprouts is better. Remember to wipe the board AND the blade. Change gloves. Wash hands. Etc.
Bakery to die for! I needed desserts for a party and discovered AJ's bakery dept. with countless bars, treats, cakes, pies, and fresh breads that will exceed your expectations. Great service. Be sure to grab a number, when it is busy. Here is a party tip that will make everyone happy: buy a variety of bars, have the staff cut them into 1/4ths, and serve on a tray. Result = amazing finger food dessert tray that is a people pleaser! Here are pics of their options. Enjoy!
