It was hard to find a great hairstylist when I moved to Tampa. So grateful I found Takoma w/ Aida's Hair! This salon is Not just braids, Takoma shampoo, style, cut, extensions & etc. Great price, wonderful personality and finish in a timely manner.

I have been to Aida a few times, and every time was great, she is so fast and the way my hair turned out was beautiful all the time, I loved it. and she is very professional, would differently recommend her to anyone who wants their hair braided, and it also lasted very long.
I wanted medium twists, she did small twists and I noticed a quarter way through when I got a glimpse in the mirror. I mentioned it to the young lady and she said what she was doing is considered medium...I didn't argue I just said fine it's not a big deal. When Aida come to help and started on the front I asked her not to go too tight to which she responded don't be a baby and suck it up. Not to mention when I basically expressed I was not in love with the style I was treated so disrespectfully. Aida came up to my face and had such an attitude as though I was begging her to do my hair for free...I AM paying YOU for a service... Aida you own a business...you know how to braid that is fine, hence the two stars, but your attitude really needs some improvement. Overall I would rather find another stylist who can do the same thing but has more respect for customers :/
Aida is a very professional braider. She is on time, and she's very good at what she does. I have to say I was a little second guessing myself with the negative reviews. So, you can't go by negative things what other people say. I give her 5 stars. She slayed my hair, and I will be back.
Today, I simply called to make an appointment for box braids her attitude over the phone was unbearable. i made my appointment anyways but then changed my mind. I refuse to allow this person to be in my head better yet opening my wallet for her. Her attitude towards her new customers seriously needs to change. People are PAYING YOU TO DO THEIR HAIR NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
With Poor customer service at AIDA'S SHOP i dont even want to give them a 1/2 of a star...
I have visited this salon to have my natural hair braided. The service was fast and neat. I also recommended a friend of mine to have her braids done. She also was satisfied. The stylist was in no way rude, I felt completely comfortable. I will be going back to have future services done!
I loved Aida she was professional and timely. Also talking to her was like talking to a wise friend. I will be a returning customer.
P.s. 2 months later my braids fresh & fab.
