Best KPortal Reviews

Having to dine at Ai Fiori multiple times have to say the quality overall had gone down from its best time. Pasta of this price tag needs to be perfect but it is not. Interior dated and for lunch time when it is not crowded they should space customer out so i don't need to hear someone swearing next to me every minute). Staff service level is the best part of this restaurant right now -- would like to see some improvement on food.
I had the pleasure of dining at Ai Fiori for Valentine's Day, and it’s definitely a meal I won’t forget. The review is a bit delayed, but the experience was so memorable, particularly their risotto, which was the best I've ever had. I’ve since tried risotto at other restaurants, but none have lived up to the standard set by Ai Fiori.
We opted for the four-course prix fixe menu, which was a journey of exquisite flavors. Along with the standout risotto, they prepared an exquisite chocolate box that I had ordered as an extra surprise for my wife. It was beautifully presented at our table when we arrived, making for a lovely and thoughtful gesture.
The dinner, while a bit expensive, turned out to be an excellent deal thanks to our $100 hotel credit from the AMEX Platinum card. This definitely took the sting out of the price and made the whole experience feel even more worthwhile.
Every dish, including the risotto and the beautifully crafted chocolate box, contributed to a fantastic overall experience at Ai Fiori. The four-course meal was a perfect balance of culinary artistry and flavor, and the added bonus of the AMEX credit just enhanced the value of an already splendid evening. It was a Valentine’s dinner that combined luxury, exceptional taste, and a special touch of romance.
A solid upscale meal that was a bit too safe for my taste. I had the chef's tasting menu. All the food was good, a couple of things were great. I liked the more experimental dishes more, but there were few of those. The fish and the meat were not very flavorful; the caramele pasta and the dessert were, as well as the small bites, were much more interesting. The service was quick and attentive, but not very warm, mostly concerned with efficiency.
From entering, the service was very attentive. They start you off with a chefs welcome, with fresh sour dough bread and amazing olive oil which came with the Crudo e Caviale which is atlantic fluke, american sturgeon caviar, crème fraîche, meyer lemon. I thought the caviar had an unexpected buttery richness that complemented the fluke. The polipa or seared octopus was very tender and came with calamari and very fresh spring peas. My favorite was the Vellutata or lobster soup and black truffle. It was a thicker and slightly salty dish with very very fresh lobster. I also tried their Trofie Nero with calamari which had very interesting texture and delish! Another favorite was the blue crab spaghetti which is served with Al Dante noodles and had a spicy kick from the Calabrian chili. I also tried their funghi wild mushroom, which was very savory but the serving was slightly too large to enjoy. For dessert I had their Hojicha gelato which was a great way to finish off the meal. They also brought some complimentary passion fruit chocolate that was such a treat!
Was a wonderful night Celebrating our anniversary. Went with the Chef's Sampler because we couldn't make up our minds. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
You're initially enthralled walking through the entrance of the Langham hotel, and up the spiral staircase to Ai Fiori. The decor calls back to a mid century sensibility, but was cheapened by plastic plants tucked throughout. Off to the right is Bar Fiori, and to your left is Ai Fiori, it's tables and layout feeling both spaced out and crowded at the same time.
The food was almost impressive and there were some highlights in the pasta and rissoto. The spaghetti with bluecrab was good enough to come back for and had the right amount of spice from the Calabrian spices. The Rissoto was cooked just right and we loved the crunch and saltiness from the parmesan crisp.
The entres was where the meal was disappointing. The Tagliata wasn't cooked well and tasted bitter and chewy. The mushrooms tasted the same and also salty, both likely done in by a burnt reduction. Nothing leaves you wanting more than a poorly cooked steak. My wife's Halibut tasted mediocre and didn't feel inspiring.
Overall, Ai Fiori would be suitable as an expensed business dinner, but a miss if you're looking to celebrate a special evening.
Food is excellent! I was pleasantly surprised with how consistent the quality was - every dish we tried was amazing.
I personally recommend lobster soup, pastas and chamomile mousse dessert ????
Service was attentive and not annoying - great!
We were not rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy the evening.
The service was outstanding. We chose the chef's tasting menu. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and Michael Angelo (the server) and Arette (sommelier) were amazing.
