Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found no host or hostess to assist us in getting seated, so we took it upon ourselves to sit at the bar. Despite this, the service we received was prompt and efficient. The food we ordered was exceptional, and we plan to return to the establishment in the future.
However, there were a couple of issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the bar area requires a thorough cleaning to ensure that it meets the standards expected by guests. Secondly, the bartender was observed sneezing into his hand when dealing with customers, which is not a hygienic practice and could potentially lead to the spread of germs. This behavior should be corrected as soon as possible to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons.
I got to sit outside in view of the river! It was a lovely sunny day! Nice wine list for a Mexican food restaurant! I’m a nacho girl and they were wonderful! I’d definitely recommend!
Brunch was fantastic today. We are locals living in navy yard and rotating through the various brunch locations. We had a great experience today with attentive wait staff, Rodrigo, and excellent food. The salsa was spicy and the food flavorful. Recommend going early and staying to enjoy.
Margaritas for $7.5 with this view, don’t mind if I do! @agua301dc offers a great happy hour menu 7 days a week, with food discounts on weekdays. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items, especially now that the weather is getting warmer!
Their crab guacamole (not on HH) was tasty and affordable too!

Amazing food & service! We came here quite late for dinner & even though it was close to closing - our server was incredibly nice, professional & the food was delicious. Will definitely visit again 10/10
We ordered chips and salsa for the table. Caution, this is no longer complimentary. We also ordered taco platters. The tacos arrived quickly, but no chips and salsa. The order was accurate but the food was incredibly bland. I special requested salt at the same time I canceled our chips, because they still weren't there. 5 minutes later, the salt wasn't delivered either. Sigh. Ultimately, the baha fish tacos are edible. The others are mediocre at best (shrimp, barbacoa, carnitas). The salmon taco tasted rancid and was inedible. Our server didn't even thank us or acknowledge us (not even eye contact) when returning the credit card after payment. Most important take away, beware they will try to charge you a very illegal 22% service fee even though regulations cap it at 20%. We had it removed. Will not be back.
I lived in DC for the summer and Agua 301 was my go to dinner spot! The food is so delicious and I love the atmosphere. It’s located right on the water in Navy Yard. My personal favorite dish was the Lomo Saltado- it was SO GOOD! 10/10 recommend
Food is great, and even the location is so beautiful by the water! You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes here, but given how busy they tend to be, it may be a bit of a wait to order/get your food, but definitely still worth it! The waiters are nice and as efficient as possible and very friendly too. I’d definitely go back again - solid brunch spot and definitely make a resy in advance if possible
