Is a car park. Tarmac a bit rough, but it has a good number of EV chargers from charge place Scotland
Small car park just off the main road through Abington. Parking is free. There are 2 charging points for electric vehicles with a time limit of 2hrs charging.
Why does Abington have a long stay car park? The only reason seems to be to charge up your EV with the ChargePlace Scotland rapid chargers, as there is pretty much nothing else to do here.
We took a walk along the river (which was nice) and the local shop apparently serves hot drinks.
Five stars because it is a lot better than the motorway services - that says all you need to know about them....
Great free car park in Abington, electric charging is handy too. Local village shop is nearby and great for a good coffee. Much prefer to stop here than at the nearby msa plus sports local community shop instead of multinational msa operator
Only half the EV chargers were working and you have to have a charge Scotland card to get them to work ... They won't accept card payment....
Easy to get to, three 50KW chargers, 4 22KW chargers.....all free. Great when travelling south to borders. Well maintained. No toilets here.
A good stop for a rest the only thing missing is a public toilet. There's a shop with a cafe and a loo but it's not open late or Sunday afternoons ect.
Great place to stop and charge then go for a walk down the river. Car park is great and easily found due to its location
