So I found a Lexus RX350 for sale on Craigslist. It looked like a decent car and I asked to see it in person. He agreed to meet me the next morning at 11am in downtown San Jose. I text him and called him shortly after at 10am asking for the address a second time. He said he would text me the address. I waited another half hour, then called again at 10:30 for the address. At 11:05am, 5 minutes after we were supposed to meet, he sends me the address. I look up the address and it is a McDonalds. No problem, I can meet there. I said I would be there at 11:30. He shows up late at 11:50 and asks me to walk into the parking lot behind McDonald's. He seemed annoyed even before we speak and before I see the car. I walk up to the car and it looks different from the photos. Even the color is different one is grey and the other is dark blue. The car had a trailer hitch and cargo roof rack. I thought cool, I like extra options. Every question I asked was answered seemed disturbing. ME: When was it last smogged? HIM: Yesterday. ME: When were the brakes last changed? HIM: Two weeks ago. ME: Do you have the receipts for the smog and brakes? HIM: No.
So the car had large dents but the ad said no accidents.
He was very uptight and very short with his answers and when I asked if he was the owner, he gave another vague answer. He wouldn't let me test drive the car because I did not say I was willing to pay his price. I obviously came knowing his price. I think this guy has a chip on his shoulder and very unprofessional.
I said thanks for wasting my time @$$hole.
As he pulled out of the parking lot, he turned right. I was on foot because I planned to buy the car. He drove around the block and pulled into gated area of a business, this business which was right across the street from McDonald's. Turns out he is the owner of this business. His name is Richard and the name suits his attitude. DICK FOR SURE!
Oh, in addition, he painted the seats with a spray can and their was overspray on all surrounding area.
The workers here are very hateful and make you waste a lot of time. I don't recommend this place.
I had my brakes and calipers done here - Richard is very knowledgeable and helpful: helped me find the right parts for my repair. Would recommend without hesitation - welcome his straightforward way of talking and doing business.
Very honest shop. The owner can come off a little bold but he means well. Being so close to downtown he has to deal with all traffic and pedestrians that sometimes can be a bit much for anyone to deal with. But he gets the job done. And I seen this man have a big heart helping people who come short on payment and is willing to cut cost for them. Big heart
Good place. Everything is succinct and to the point
The owner Richard knows how to take care of his customers. Best word to describe this shop is honest. If you are ever in the market for good used car asked Richard what inventory does he have on hand
