Really nice place. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of effort into it. The place is really clean and welcoming. The living area and kitchen have everything you need. The room we stayed in was petite and very cute. Bathroom is spacious with a great deep bath tub. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Arrived at the accommodation to a very well presented, clean and tidy room. Lovely overnight stay before our early morning flight. Highly recommended
Beautiful period house and pretty gardens. Redecorated in a shabby chic style with hand painted furniture and hand painted floorboards with rugs. Very informal with shared spacious bathrooms (no ensuite rooms), shared kitchen (good for self catering or longer stays for example working away from home), and shared lounge/TV area, no TV in bedroom. Tea and coffee making facilities available in the kitchen (not in the bedroom), also cereals (stored in glass containers) were available to help yourself to for breakfast. Free roadside car parking. No problems with Wifi signal. I assume that there probably could have been a hairdryer, extra pillows and blankets if we had asked (probably by phone as the owners are not based on site) but they were not readily available in the room. Brown bath towels were provided. Property was clean throughout. We found a cooked breakfast in the Weatherspoons on a Sunday. The property is in good walking distance of the town which has a castle and high street shops, supermarkets and a river.
Positive: Great welcome - cup of tea made for us on arrival. Clean and attractive environment. Interesting art on the walls, nice garden with chairs and table to sit at. Pleasant sitting room - on the one wet day of our holiday we were able to relax and read in comfy armchairs Cereals and fresh fruit for breakfast. House has an interesting history.. Negative: It did not bother us but there was some traffic noise from the road outside..
Absolutely gorgeous place, a grade 2 listed building with wrought iron verandas, and our salvation after a holiday from hell! The owners are very friendly and welcoming, even though I was completely hyperbolic by the time I got there.||It's a laid back atmosphere, you help yourself to hot drinks and cereal and you can cook your own food in the big, well equipped kitchen. Our room (and the whole house) is filled with beautiful, interesting things, I'd recommend the double balcony room as you get plenty of space and a nice view of the town, which is just a stones throw away.||I'll definitely be recommending this place to friends and staying again if I'm in the area.
I just wanted to review this building on the basis of the beauty of its ironwork alone. Many are the nights that I ponder and wish that my home had such magnificence. When I am First Minister in the Senedd it will be a legal requirement for all buildings in the motherland to have such tastiness attached to the front of their snouts.
My partner and I stayed in this beautiful place for two nights and were overwhelmed with how beautiful the house was! The owners Lucy and Peter were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and bright. Our room had a lovely view into the garden and small wooded area behind.Would highly recommend staying here!
