Great food and great wine. Had a meal night before a wedding and paid a deposit and chose our food before we arrived. Staff knew all orders by name and were attentive and quick. Would recommend.
Great location and cool furniture. We came for some tea in the afternoon. The dessert we got were delicious.
Unfortunately the service was not overly attentive, friendly or fast. Maybe we just got in at an odd time. For the low number of visitors I was a little bit surprised. In the end I went up to the cashier at the entrance to pay my bill and even that took ages because other people did the same. Is that normal? I expected a little bit more from a place that has so much potential.
Might revisit, maybe in the evening and see if there is much of a difference.
I was a little confused after following the 'coffee shop' signs to find this place. It's a full blown restaurant with posh menus and a fancy selection of alcoholic beverages and cocktails. The staff were quite happy for us just to have coffee and desserts however, which were delicious if a little on the pricey side. Service was friendly and helpful. Place was very busy but it was a lovely day and people must have flocked there which is usually a good sign.
Had a really nice lunch here. The place was really busy and had a nice atmosphere. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great, the wrap was good to, but come on £4 for chips is a little steep
Good choice of hot drinks and cakes/toasted tea cakes if you fancy a light snack rather than a meal. The staff were polite and lovely surroundings.

The food here was excellent! The menu is very interesting, offering something for most tastes. Prices are reasonable, meaning you can have a good value light lunch or something more substantial. I enjoyed a '59' burger, which was especially good and I would very much recommend!
As we went in the run up to Christmas, it was very busy but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Be aware you may have to wait for a table at busy times. Very much worth it though!
