Best KPortal Reviews
We were there when there was a limited menu so we were disappointed to not try some of their usual fare. But we enjoyed the chicken nachos - the chicken especially had good seasoning on it. We also enjoyed their special margaritas and it gave us ideas for some things to try at home. Our server was welcoming and pleasant and helpful. It was crowded inside because the wind was cold outside. We look forward to coming back when the full menu is available, and hope to sit outside!
We were staying in Woodland Park and found this little gem. Indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were all really great and the food is good. We sat outside and had a lovely time. I highly recommend you take time to visit! Plenty of parking around the area.
Their pet policy brought us here, and that alone sets this place apart in Woodland Park. This open-air eatery allows dogs on the patio. The musician belting out throwback covers was a pleasant surprise. The old Ford truck stationed in front of the restaurant was also a nice touch. Their $15 Charcuterie board was incredible for the price, and it saved their food from a 3 star score. My wife's burger and my green chile pita patty melt were way overcooked for our tastes. A mandatory well cook is a meat crime in my personal opinion. The only side option is a bag of chips. That said, with mixed nuts, raisens, brie with jam, prosciutto, salami, grapes, apples and a couple of other cheese and meat options on their board appetizer, they are alright in my book. Great place to bring the pups and people watch. I'll just be ordering a sandwich next time.
If you're going through the area, you should 100% stop here. The patio is dog-friendly and the live music overlooking the mountains was wonderful!
My husband and I both got the Bourbon BBQ burger. I was able to get mine with a chicken breast and with gluten-free bread, which was awesome as sometimes I'm limited on dining options due to dietary restrictions. Both of ours were DELICIOUS. Definitely was the best gluten-free bun I've had in the area. Beer flight was fantastic as well.
***Bierwerks is better*** Slow when busy. Did karaoke with my family that lives in the area had two drinks and they came up and asked if I was OK to drive. I work for a federal law enforcement agency and found it surprising that they would ask: not only were we not drunk but it took thirty minutes to get a beer. Steer clear owners are overly involved, and in customers business in a way that is frightening (See owners response below, weird to make assumptions). Focus on customer service and not on customers. **** The response below is exactly what I would expect. Just individuals with their personal liberties enjoying their time. Watch out for this tyrannical business owner.***
Wondering if this place is still in business. We came by at 5pm Friday night and the place was closed tight. No sign or explanation as to why they were not open. Hours are supposedly 11-9pm on Fridays. We called several times Friday and Saturday too, with no answer. This is not a good way to run a business if it is still open warm!
UPDATE: I am so appreciative of the owners response and the fact they give all the employees 2 weeks off. What a great way to keep the hard working staff happy! However, it would be nice to have sign on the door stating this. Also, as an owner, you can update your hours on Google to inform potential customers so they don't waste time coming to the establishment, trying doors to get in. Plus not ALL people are on social media.
As for the 1-star, it was not my intent as I tried to post a question, but it would not let me. I apologize and revoke that 1 star, giving the business 4 stars for reasons mentioned above. We look forward to actually partaking in the apparently delicious food soon and giving a 5 star review.
The service was so bad if you get the Blonde head chick, change waiter fast or you’ll be stuck in a loop of her sneezing in her hand and touching food. She would not refill drinks my table waited a whole hour for our food and our drinks were something else. We had to get up and get a different waiter to help us. The waiter would also sit down at other tables and have full on conversations with them. Just don’t get the blonde headed chick!!!!
Views were amazing! Loved the vibe. Food was a little better than average and drink menu options were great. Do recommend sitting outside for the mountain views! We're visiting from out of town and will recommend this place to others.
