On April 4,2024 I ordered Mac &cheese, green beans and fried chicken wings. Once I got home to eat the Mac& cheese looked old and brown and felt hard. The chicken was salty and the green beans were fine. I’m always purchasing from their establishment. When i called they insisted that it was made fresh today. So they must’ve gave me the scraps. Once they called me back , they asked that I bring in the Mac & cheese the next day and get another side. I’m good i don’t want another side and I’m taking it back once i get off work. So I had to eat my food without the Mac& cheese. Picture added. You tell me ?
Very welcoming and professional customer service from the time I walked in until I walked out. The establishment was clean and well organized. My food was fresh and nicely labeled. I will definitely be returning.
I wasn’t going to leave a review. I was going to just accept the frozen reheated food that tasted like stale styrofoam as a trial and error but when I called to inform them that they did not place everything in my bag the night before and was treated as if it was my fault I was highly offended! I placed an order 30 minutes before closing and did not receive my order until after close. I was the last customer in the building before they locked up. When I arrived home and realized they didn’t give me all my over priced food I called the next day. After several attempts of getting someone on the phone I was asked why didn’t I call the night before after explaining I was the last customer and did attempt to call with no answer and had called several times that morning. I was then told by management that they only had 3 peach cobblers left and I must pick it up that day. I informed them I would send someone there within the hour. I was then asked why would I wait that long. After explaining I don’t live close she said ok. An hour later the person picking up the order was told it would be an hour wait as they didn’t have any ready. (Why would they not sit one aside when I called ????). We then asked for a lesser price dessert or a refund. We was told we must have the card it was purchased on or pay for the other dessert as they were different prices. In all my years of customer service debit transactions have always been refunded as cash but ok ???????? and why would I pay for a lesser price dessert when I’m willing to accept a cheaper priced item due to your error! At this point I refused to argue with them over a $7 dessert that most likely wouldn’t even taste worth the fight. I would never patron them again! It wasn’t the error or the reheated food; it was the poor customer service.
10xs better soulfood… definitely worth the try! The facility was very clean and the customer service (thanks Patrice) is excellent! Really down home and comfortable! I ordered the pork chops 1 fried 1 smothered the pork chops are seasoned perfectly and wonderfully succulent! The yams had a wonderful flavor and I am sure I tasted notes of ginger…what I loved about the Mac is that it wasn’t just cheese and noodles… the pasta they chose was a great choice and I love that the flavor was a bit more complex than cheese and noodle… the cornbread muffin was a classic sweet cornbread muffin… the dessert! The peach cobbler was very good… that is if you love the crust as I do! Great presentation… not overly sweet… very enjoyable!! Why not a 5??Well there were a few things I wld do differently… I don’t like a very heavily breaded pork chop
And I enjoy a homemade gravy..I also like my Mac a bit creamier with a bit more baked cheese on the top..the yams were also a bit soft… but besides those things this restaurant is certainly worth the try and is fairly priced!! Great job 9mile location…. You represented 10xs better soul food well!!
10x's Better Soul Food was just that . . . 10x's Better. I read the reviews and I was hesitant about giving them a try, but I am glad that my co-worker recommended them to me. My Food was delicious and the customer service was great. Like many other restaurants, the prices were more, but the portion sizes are plentiful. I will certainly support them again. Thank you for a Job Well Done ????????
In my post above, everything was outstanding, but on my previous visit, the quality of the food greatly declined. I will rate this visit with ONE STAR . . . !!!!!!
But the service and atmosphere was still good.
The Catfish was good, but it was very thin, so they should have compensated by giving more pieces. The Macaroni and Cheese was cooked with cheap cheese and the noodles were overcooked. The Collard Greens were good, but they were slightly gritty. The Cornbread Dressing tasted like water and cornbread with no seasonings. As a consumer, I look for consistency with my food. My dad was a caterer and his customers were always pleased with his food. He hired me as his assistant and once he had me to cater an event by myself. After they finished eating, he asked them how was the meal and they responded that it was just as good as it always was. That type of cooking takes skills and passion. My sisters wanted to work for my dad, but he refused to hire them because they are experimental cooks. Restaurants need to train their cooks to cook exactly the same so that customers will not have the same horrible experience that I had on my last visit.
I used to Visit their restaurant! I even did a video back a couple years ago The owner should know who I am! On March 14, 2024 I visit their restaurant spent $52 on food and did not get my complete order so I called them , they close at 8 o’clock & I was there about 7:05 PM oh by the way my name is Linda in case they read this and I go by keeping up with the Joneses On YouTube. So what happened was they hung up on me at 7:35 PM because they were in a hurry I hear a young lady says I’m getting rid of The call and then hung up the audacity. So no, I will not frequent the restaurant anymore Even though they said they’re not responsible If you don’t check your order before leaving but they were rushing and I felt they Fill my order Correctly. So now I know, I cannot trust them at all especially spending that kind of money.
Terrible customer service. 10xs worst customer service. Never will buy from them again.
I’m beyond annoyed that they accuse me of lying about some food that was missing. Then kept hanging up the phone when I called to resolve the issue.
Terrible customer service. Nasty attitude. Piss poor response to customer satisfaction and customer service.
If you gonna spend $50 go to a place where your money is supported, well spent and appreciated.
Made a $70 donation in Eastpointe today. Called to tell the restaurant my issue and the young lady told me basically how to "recook" the peach cobbler, in the air fryer. Gotta do better.
