If you’re open to culinary adventures, this is a great local place to visit. Very low-key rural local food. Don’t expect international food standards here. Instead expect to eat some foods and flavors that you won’t find anywhere else in Thailand.
The fish larb with crispy pork is excellent, the pork larb is tasty too and very different from what you typically get in Bangkok or other regions of Thailand (a lot more dry, a lot more herbs). The curry soup with buffalo meat is a local delicacy too (gaeng Om way).
You might want to tell them to make it less spicy. And accept that while they keep it clean by their own standards, the food hygiene here isn’t 100% up to international standards. However, having eaten here I never had any problems.
The place is run by an old uncle and his wife, they’re quiet friendly, speak no English, and are well-known in the area by locals for the tasty authentic yummy local food they make.
